Control stick protractor.

The Su-30MKI’s ground tools were imported, expensive to replace and came without drawings. We rebuilt them from the samples and saw them through HAL’s approval and trials on the aircraft.

Measured from the sample

No documents to start from. Each part was photographed beside a scale, traced in CAD, measured by hand and sent for NDT analysis.

Machined, printed, cast

CNC machined and refined against the samples. Shapes too costly to machine were 3D printed as patterns, sand cast and machined to size.
